      Create Rules

      Create Rules to tell alby what actions to take when asked a certain type of question.

      1. Go to alby's Admin
      2. Select Rules (under Knowledge) in the right-hand panel
      3. Select Add Rule
      4. New Rule - Rules require 2 parts:
        1. When a customer says something similar to: describe scenario  
        2. Then do this: follow this rule when responding - alby will follow general guidance when responding 
        3. Apply to All Products or Specific Products 
      5. Save

      Rules vs. Verified Q&As: Verified Q&As tell alby what words to say in response to certain questions. Rules tell alby general guidelines to follow when a customer asks certain questions. Learn more a about Creating Verified Q&As. 

        Verified Q&As Rules
      When a customer says something like  Is this dining set suitable for the outdoors?  Can I return this? 
      Reply with "Yes, the dining set is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use." Answer the question and then  share the return policy link [insert link]

      Example Rules

      When a customer says something to: What is your return policy?

      Then do this: Our return policy allows you to return any product free of charge for up to 14 days. See Return Policy for more details.
